A couple weeks ago I participated in 77kids Do Good Day with some awesome Jersey bloggers. As a follow-up to that event, I wanted to pass on “7 good things to do with a dollar” that you might share with your kids:
1. Buy from a lemonade stand, a bake sale or another fundraiser
2. Leave a dollar in a vending machine for someone else to find
3. Pay the toll for the car behind you
4. Buy a sheet of stickers and hand them out to kids
5. Put four quarters in parking meters
6. Tip a street musician
7. Send a thank you card to someone who made a difference in your life
I met Liz, Monica, Bay and Julie at the Children’s Discovery Museum near Cherry Hill, NJ.

The road was closed for a bit in front of the museum, but the near-monsoon did not dampen our spirits.

We had a “gratitude station” where kids (and parents) could make cards for the troops via Operation Gratitude. We also had face painting and snacks and goodie bags.

It was a wonderful day all around and I thank 77kids by american eagle and The Motherhood for giving me the chance to participate.

I would like to do these two things with a dollar really,
1) I will leave a dollar into a vending machine for someone else to find.
2) I will buy a sheet of stickers and hand them over to kids.
Good Post. I like it.
This is often a really good blog page. I have been back a couple of times during the last few days and want to register for your rss using Google but can’t learn the right way to do it very well. Do you know of any sort of instructions?
This is really great. This is the first time I am realizing that a single dollar bill can do so many things, at least these seven things it not so many! I particularly liked the second tip, which is kind of cool but I’m not sure if the car behind me will appreciate it. Chances are that the person will have a suspicious eye on my car.
