I’ve been designing web sites since 1995. I currently work on a part-time basis and love to help bloggers create designs that reflect their personality and blog mission.

Design Services

I am a WordPress evangelist. I design blogs for self-hosted WordPress only and specialize in moving blogs from Blogger (blogspot) to WordPress. I also use WordPress to design professional web sites, utilizing the strong content management system that makes it simple for clients to update their sites on their own. My fee to create a WordPress site is $300 and my turn-around time is approximately one week. This includes:

• Custom theme, or customization of a theme you’ve found online, with 1-3 columns, custom header and background, and custom colors.
• One major design draft and up to 10 minor revisions. This means if you tell me what you want and then change your mind drastically, you will be charged for an additional major design draft at my fee of $50/hour.
• Installation and set-up of the WordPress software on your domain hosting account. I recommend Bluehost for domain hosting.
• Installation and set-up of up to five plugins.

I require a 50% deposit up front, paid via PayPal. Please contact me to get started.

Interested in moving to WordPress?
If you want a more professional look and more flexibility with your blog, I highly recommend moving your Blogger blog to WordPress. I’ve outlined the benefits of WordPress in this post. To move from Blogger to WordPress, you first need to purchase a domain name (I recommend GoDaddy – a domain name is about $10/year) and hosting space (I recommend Bluehost which is about $7/month, paid yearly). Next, you have to decide if you want to use the current design from your Blogger blog or if you want an entirely new look.

For a fresh new design and graphics, my fee is $300, as noted above. Moving your blog to WordPress using your existing design is $200. This includes:

• Installation and set-up of the WordPress software on your domain hosting account.
• Installation and set-up of up to five plugins.
• Coding your theme and existing graphics into WordPress
• Importing your Blogger posts and comments (I do not guarantee all comments to be imported due to a known issue.)

Extras that many Blogger users require:

• Updating of your RSS feed through Feedburner, $10
• Updating your Google Friend Connect widget to keep your followers, $10
• Copying of sidebar widgets and code from Blogger to WordPress, $25
