Last week was full of fun. Here’s the recap…
Monday night we enjoyed the Passover Seder at my husband’s Aunt & Uncle’s house. There were 7 kids there, but it sounded more like 30! I spilled my wine all over my plate (I love me some Passover wine, but I had only had one glass), but managed to avoid my clothes and the floor.
Tuesday we braved torrential downpours to tour the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City. I would have chosen a more pleasant day to visit, but it was a group trip and we would have lost our money if we didn’t go. We tried to go up on the flight deck, but it was so cold, wet and windy, we couldn’t take more than a few minutes. There’s a lot to see there, though, and we had a great day in spite of the weather.
Thursday I took my daughter to get spring/summer clothes at Justice. It was our first time there and she wanted everything! Especially the really fancy dresses. She always wants to buy really fancy dresses, but she has no where to wear them, so I can’t justify the expense. We found some cute skirts and sundresses that seemed to make her just as happy.
Friday we toured Lost River Caverns in eastern PA. It’s a neat, small, campy cave that contains a river that seems to have no source nor outlet. Hence the “lost river.” Their best deduction is that the water seeps down through the ground, since even in the heaviest rains there is never any ground debris – the water is always crystal clear. After the tour we played in the picnic area where there was a small covered bridge and stream. Logan and his friends tried to build a dam, while Cassie dug in the mud and made “fudge balls.” Kids + streams = intense happiness.

Sounds like a fun week, it was great seeing you guys on Monday. We also hit Justice that week – both girls love it, and Jess finally fits into the pants! Just don’t go there unless it is 40% off or you have a coupon!
what a lovely, busy week! Sounds great! We’ve barely left the house. Total slobbery. Will change that tomorrow! :)

Oh, the weather was so bad last weekend! Good for you for braving the storm!
My daughter loves the fancy dresses and the sparkly dresses and the flouncy skirts. My mother feeds into her need to be a silly-dressed girlie girl beyond the bounds of my rationale.
Sounds like you had a great time!

We have to plan a trip to go there now! :) I love the pictures from the Intrepid, its awesome that you braved the crazy storms. The picture of you two in the rain with the wind next to the helicopter looks so real like you are waiting to get on the helicopter!
