NERF N-Strike is NOT a Holiday Strike Out

NERF N-Strike Elite for Wii

Today’s holiday gift recommendation is the Nerf N-Strike Elite for the Wii ($59.99 at Target). This fast, classic, shooting arcade game allows you to attach your Wii controller to a NERF gun and have some crazy fun.

My 11-year-old son (as well as my husband!) had a blast with this game. Aliens are constantly coming at you and firing missiles, while you shoot the red and green icons to increase your ammo and health.
The new “Red Reveal” feature was a big hit. When your Wii controller is attached to the NERF gun, you can flip up a red eyepiece and look through to the TV screen to reveal secret codes. Enter the codes in your code book to unlock new guns without having to accumulate points.

The only complaint my son had about this game is that is was “easy to beat.” He finished the game (on the beginner level) in about 4 hours of play. But he hasn’t attempted the more advanced levels yet.

Any tween boy is going to LOVE this game and I’ve got one to give away! Leave a comment here to enter and re-tweet (using the re-tweet button at the top of this post) for an extra entry. Winners will be chosen through random.org on Wednesday, December 16th at 8 am.

Disclosure: I received complimentary review and giveaway products from Electronic Arts. No payment was received for this blog post.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with your review. We have the original version of this game. My 9 yr old son LOVES it. At first I was a little taken aback by its first-person shooter style, but it doesn’t show any blood or alien parts flying, so I was ok with it. It’s actually good hand eye coordination development and my son STANDS to play it, instead of sitting, which I love.

This game sounds awsome for my 10 year old son. We realy enjoyed the old nerf blaster for the pc and can’t to try this out.
