Printies Design Studio Kits are among this season’s hottest new toys. Kids access the online design studio and use the many design options to decorate and customize their Printie. Then you print your design on the Printies fabric sheets, tear along the perforated shape and stuff it to create a collectible stuffed toy.
It took a few tries to become familiar with all the options, but my kids loved playing with the online design studio and decorating the Printies online. I took care of the printing and the tearing and then the kids stuffed them with the special stuffing tool, which they also found amazingly fun. So much so that they ended up fighting over who was using the tool as they both tried to stuff their Printies at the same time. {sigh}
The only drawback I see in this product is that you can’t exactly play with Printies. There is no sewing or cutting involved, so you snap on a set of plastic “shoes” to keep the stuffing in. That means you can’t really cuddle with them and a couple we tried didn’t stand up all that well. Printies are described as a collectible toy, but I’d love to see a way for them to be played with more than just displayed. I got out a needle and thread and sewed the bottom together for my daughter so she could play with hers without the plastic shoes.
Printies might be hard to find (they were sold out in my local Target), so I’ve got a Printies Pet Design Studio Kit to give away. This set comes with everything you need (except your PC and printer) to create six unique stuffed Printies. Leave a comment here to enter and re-tweet (using the re-tweet button at the top of this post) for an extra entry. Winner will be chosen through random.org on Friday, November 27th at 8 am.
Congrats to the winner, mytwogirls!

Again, your blog is really hitting home! I spent hours last night, online, looking for gifts for my two daughters that aren’t Wii or DS games, aren’t junky plastic, or have a million tiny pieces that they’ll lose interest in fifteen seconds after they get it. I came up empty handed and very frustrated! My eldest daughter is a stuffed animal fanatic (takes after me), but I’m so reluctant to add another to the stack. But this gift is creative, interactive, fosters computer skills, and hits the stuffed-animal angle the right way. Thank you!

Isn’t that the coolest thing?? My kids aren’t little anymore…but I want it anyway:) I know for sure that I could definitely gift it. Maybe even before I stuff them myself…LOL! Off to retweet!

My daughter would love love love this for Christmas. Thanks for the great giveaway. She is learning to use the sewing machine and would be capable of stitching up the bottoms all by herself (with my supervision of course)!
